After a short walk you find yourself at the front entrance to The House. Hugh is inside, looking a bit uncomfortable with the atmosphere of the place, but resigned to the fact that it is the best he can hope for given his impulses. The little shop is densely packed with lanky 20 somethings all trying to insist that they heard the folk singer on stage perform before they started getting decent gigs. The store itself is softly lit, with track lights interspersed for maximum effect on the floor areas, rather than directly over tables, lending a feeling if privacy to conversations being held.

Hugh is seated in the back corner of the shop, partially obscured by shadow. The back exit is to his left, and he already has a large coffee, black, in front of him. He nods towards you as he sees you through a gap in the crowd.

[Isaac Erasmus]

Seeing that the time for his meeting draws near, Isaac sighs. "It seems like we'll have to postpone our check-in. Let's hope we don't run into that fellow again."

Isaac crosses to the other side of the street and doubles back towards the bar. He's sure to keep an eye out for trouble as he goes.

[Storyteller]

It's about the time that Hugh would get off of work. You passed The House a few blocks back, (in what I assume is) the same general direction which Huico stalked off to once he had finished your..... conversation.

[Isaac Erasmus]

Isaac responds dryly, "Thanks Bob, I didn't manage to quite get all that myself."

Alright, well I don't think I've lost the element of surprise just yet. Now to just keep up Bob's act of visiting "rose". If he hits up a wrong room, we'll just say he's haunting the place or some such nonsense. The man had great tracking skills but I'm not so sure about his knowledge of ghosts. We're still in this yet.

Isaac checks the time, not wanting to be late for his meeting with Hugh.

[Storyteller]

"As much as my last client was. The man has some skill; he tracked me a good few blocks in a fairly dense crowd, and I don't exactly leave footprints. Be careful with that one boss," Bob responds before ambling over to inspect the penny papers on the newsstand nearby. [[That's the examiner, etc for current day people...]]

[Isaac Erasmus]

Adjusting himself, so as to look disgruntled as a normal person would "Only problem with that being that I live here, I'll keep that in mind. A good day to you as well sir."

Once the man is out of earshot, Isaac mutters to Bob as much as himself. Mostly since he knows Bob will hear it anyways, and he has a habit of thinking out loud. "Well there's one of our boys. Cheery, isn't he?"

[Crewer]

As far as he can tell, the man doesn't know the answer to his question. I don't have time for this. Huico gives the man a glare.

"A storm is coming, amigo. I don't know who you are, why your dead friend is here, or what you want, but I can tell you there are flights headed out of New York everyday. Take one," Huico says as he turns back down the street, turning to add, "and know this; si te equivocas conmigo, te voy a buscar. There's not a place on Earth you can hide."

Huico spits on the sidewalk as his form rounds the corner of the street.

Doing his best impression of someone genuinely befuddled. "¿Eh....Los hermanos? Lo siento Señor, no sé que tu preguntas.

"Bien, no hay juegos. Busco Hanson. Dime dónde está." >Fine, no games. I'm looking for Hanson. Tell me where he is.<

[Isaac Erasmus]

Turning with a smile, Isaac greets Huico with his best Spanish accent. Time to put that Spanish minor and study abroad semesters to work. "Amigo, Inglés no es necesario. ¿Quieres hablar en español?"

This guy looks pretty rough. He's built physically, has that look in his eye that says he's seen some pretty rough stuff. He moves fluid, graceful, like some kind of big cat. Definitely dangerous, not sure if hostile. Well, at least to me. He was definitely hostile to someone judging from that blood on his shirt.

[Crewer]

Huico sees one of the figures fidget with a watch as he walks forward. He gives the man a quick look.

Nicely dressed. Clean face, no dirt in his fingernails. He lives in relative luxury. Possibly under scrutiny? Has a hard look to his arms, not from an easygoing neighborhood. Is the watch important? Earpiece, but no lights on it. Might be fake. No luggage, local. No visible weapons.

Huico reaches one of his hands up on the back of his neck and looks at the man with the watch, ignoring the ghost. "I'm sorry, amigos, but I appear to be lost. Could either of you point me to where Hanson Street is?"

[Isaac Erasmus]

Pretending to nervously look down at his watch, winding it, Isaac begins to get into character. Muttering quietly so that only Bob can hear him, Isaac gives Bob the game plan. "Now listen Bob, you walked into that hotel because you're a pervy old ghost and you wanted to see what room a pretty lady named Rose was in. Do you understand? As for me I'm just the poor schmuck you've attached yourself to, you're my great great grandfather and I just happen to have this family watch you've decided to bind yourself to."

[Crewer]

Once you lose the element of surprise there's only one way to proceed.

Huico places his hand on the woman in front of him, grunts "Lo siento," gently moves the goth girl aside, and confidently strides forward toward the pair of talking figures, making an effort to subdue his hand as it instinctively moves to his knife, instead holding both arms close to his sides. His gaze passes between the two figures evenly, occasionally moving to the street behind him. Huico doesn't like the closeness of the city. Not enough freedom of movement, limited paths of retreat.

[Storyteller]

Isaac:

"... shall we?" Isaac asks, as Bob looks to the right of goth girl. Standing directly next to the goth girl, rather conspicuously and spottily covered with what at this distance appears to be a combination of ketchup and mud is the intimidating man from the hotel lobby.

"Uh, Boss, we might just have a problem here. Is he staring at you, or is he staring at me?" Bob asks Isaac.

Huico:

You manage to evade the dulled senses of the ghost that strangely seemed to investigate the hotel for a few blocks. You followed him with ease, the concrete pavement yielding as easily to your tracking skills as it would in the South American jungles, despite the lack of footprints to follow. The ghost met up with a well dressed gentleman who is disguising his conversation with a bluetooth earpiece. Unfortunately, as you attempted to blend with a woman who would not appear to be too dissimilar to your current appearance, the ghost took notice of you, and begins to inform his companion.

[[Both of you, what do you do?]]

[Isaac Erasmus]

"I believe I did say we could skirt chase later, and well, it is later. Shall we?"

[Storyteller]

Normally it doesn't bother people when Huico stares into nothing. It doesn't bother him; he'd been told for his whole life that they don't exist. But when a man walks through the door of a lobby, peers around the room, tries to edge into the guestbook, and then harumphs and leaves you don't just ignore it.

What does a ghost want with a hotel? Huico quietly stands once the dapper gentlespirit leaves and slinks onto the street, following him quietly.

Bob grumbles a bit, and his image sputters like a candle in a breeze.

"Relax boss, I may have been a Pinkerton but I ain't no miracle worker. The people in there weren't exactly the most chatty, and the mammoth at the desk didn't have an open guest book," Bob glumly looks aside and becomes fascinated with a goth girl walking down into the subway.

[Isaac Erasmus]

Isaac sets his bluetooth earpiece into his ear, allowing him to talk to Bob without raising suspicion. "Oh I'm sorry, couldn't quite hear you there, I believe you said you want me to throw out the book? That's a shame, I was so looking forward to reading it." Isaac says with a smirk. "Sounds wonderful. You wouldn't have happened to get any names, would you?"

[Storyteller]

Bob gives a little frown at receiving the command.

"I live to serve you oh hero. That's right, I don't live...." Bob gives a little chuckle as he calmly strolls down the street toward the hotel, ignoring everything from post boxes to random citizens as he makes his way.

After a few minutes of Bob's absence, and a few blocks later, Bob catches up to you again.

"Believe me, I've seen some seedy joints, and that one takes the cake. I enjoyed the decorations, the brooding man sitting in a chair at the entryway carving some figure with a knife really brightened the place up. It didn't look dangerous, but it wasn't really my kinda place," Bob explains as he walks beside you, pausing only briefly as he moves through a yipping dog.
